How to care for your botanical candle

To make sure you get the most out of your botanical candle safely, a little regular maintenance goes a long way. When burning one, always remember to follow our essential candle care steps:

• Trim the wick — Keep the wick snipped to about 5mm before lighting to get a clean, steady burn and to avoid any unwanted soot build-up.
• Let the wax surface melt completely — To avoid wax tunnelling, always allow the top layer of wax to melt completely and reach the outer edge of the jar. This is because wax has a ‘memory’ and will only melt up to this point each time you light it afterwards.
• The perfect surface — Always place your candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from any breezy draughts or flammable materials. Keep out of reach of children and pets, and do not leave it unattended.
